About Me.
Hi, My name is Carissa. (AKA - Cari)
It's nice to "meet" you.
Almost 10 Years ago, I knew I had a purpose, but couldn't put my finger on what exactly it was. I was desperate to make my situation work the best it could and in the darkest of times, a seed was planted. The purpose to work with others who wanted change in their life. In 2016, I became a Licensed Spiritual Healer (LSH) and started my journey to becoming a Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist (CRTS). I used that training and modality to help serve my family, friends, clients, the public during my monthly public library classes, along with hosting some other events.

I was doing all of this without trusting myself, without knowing myself, without loving myself. I just wanted change and I knew I needed to work hard to get there... wherever there was. The name Altering Pathways came to me intuitively and even though I didn't understand it, I knew it was the name for my "company". For years, I morphed it, I played with what it was, I molded it, changed it up... searching for my purpose... then one day, not so long ago, I realized Altering Pathways wasn't a noun. It was a verb. And I was already living it. You see, each step of my journey allowed for personal growth, growth that I chose to pass along.
However, if you have ever seen the movie "The Last Unicorn", you may remember a statement made "I can feel this body dying all around me". I knew I was dying in every way possible, not just my physical body, I was actually a very "healthy almost 500 lb person", but my soul was defeated, my figurative heart was almost done beating. I was uncared for, by myself. I justified it all. I had been fighting through so much just to survive this torturous life that we all have to live and endure on this earth... but enough was enough.
I was not going to let my mind, body or soul give up. All the hard work would be lost and I knew I had bigger purpose. I searched and I sought help, sought faith, sought varying modalities, so many different ways I tried to understand and tried to "change" my circumstances. I did good, with what I had and what I allowed myself.
Just over 5 years ago, I chose to fight for me. I had to let go of the chains that held me back. The trenches is not a fun place to be, but I will tell you... all that I had to go through to find myself, trust myself, and love myself was totally worth it. It was hard, but oh' how I can love now. Love myself and love others. Altering Pathways is still my verb. It has presented itself in many forms, such as being a friend, a basketball coach, wife, homeschooling mother, college student, the full time career in the automotive engineering world, etc.
​It's still my purpose, and now its ready to defy gravity. Now, I'm excited to have walked the hard road of altering my own path. I won't lie... I'm still altering my path... still forging ahead, but now I'm forging a head not to survive, but thrive! The universe is teaching me new things every day...
I promise to be transparent and authentic. I know who I am now. Let me help guide you and light the path you choose. Our journeys are not the same, our purpose is not the same. No bother... I don't plan on giving you the answers, just guiding you to find your own. Let me help you find yourself.
